This summer, we teamed up with Hits Radio and its charity, Cash For Kids to help raise over £30,000 by taking part in a series of fundraising events.
One of our core values is giving, not only in the realm of advice to our customers, but to fellow colleagues and local communities – it is central to the work we do – so teaming up with The Hits was a no brainer.
We sponsored this year’s Cash For Kids Annual Golf Day and Glitter Ball at the Marriot Hotel & Golf Course, something which allows us to come together as a team and raise money for those in need, in the process.
The money raised for the charity, Cash for Kids, will go to children and young people throughout the Greater Manchester and North West region, with mental, physical or sensory disabilities, living in poverty or suffering through distress, abuse or neglect.
As well as sponsoring the events, we also held a fancy-dress fundraising event at our head office in Bury, with the team dressing up as their favorite superheroes for the day in return for sponsorship, raising a further £1,579!
We are extremely proud to have sponsored the Hits Radio Cash for Kids Golf Day and Glitter Ball, this year, and help the young people of Greater Manchester. We feel strongly about giving back to the local community through events such as these and, have made it a key part in the company’s brand values – this is why it’s company policy to share a percentage of lender fees to support local charities. We look forward to organising and supporting more local charity initiatives in the near future!
