Modern Slavery Statement

Last updated: July 2026

This statement is made pursuant to Section 54 of the Modern Slavery Act 2015 and sets out the steps The UK Adviser Group has taken to ensure that modern slavery and human trafficking are not taking place in any part of our business or supply chains.

Our Organisation

The UK Adviser Group Ltd is the parent company of a group of financial services businesses operating across the UK. Our subsidiary, The UK Adviser Ltd, is authorised and regulated by the Financial Conduct Authority and provides mortgage advice and related financial services to clients throughout the United Kingdom.

We operate primarily from offices in Rossendale, Lancashire, and Hale, Cheshire, with advisers working across the UK. We employ a team of mortgage advisers, support staff and administrative personnel, all of whom are employed directly under UK employment law.

Our Supply Chains

Our supply chains include technology providers, professional service firms (legal, accountancy), office suppliers, marketing agencies and utility providers. The majority of our suppliers are UK-based and operate within regulated or professional environments.

Policies and Commitments

We have in place the following policies and practices:

  • Recruitment Policy: All employees are recruited through legitimate channels, with right-to-work checks conducted in accordance with UK immigration law. We do not charge recruitment fees to workers.
  • Whistleblowing Policy: Employees are encouraged to report any concerns about unethical practices, including modern slavery, through our confidential whistleblowing channel.
  • Supplier Code of Conduct: We expect all suppliers to comply with applicable laws, including the Modern Slavery Act 2015, and to demonstrate their own commitment to ethical labour practices.
  • Fair Pay: All employees are paid at or above the National Living Wage, with clear pay structures and no deductions that are not legally required or consented to.

Due Diligence

We assess new suppliers during the onboarding process, requesting confirmation of their compliance with the Modern Slavery Act 2015 where applicable. For higher-risk categories, we conduct enhanced due diligence and review suppliers' own modern slavery statements.

Risk Assessment

We consider our exposure to modern slavery risk to be relatively low, given that our operations and supply chains are predominantly UK-based and within the professional services sector. However, we remain vigilant and continuously review our approach to ensure that our controls remain effective.

Training and Awareness

We provide guidance to relevant staff on the signs of modern slavery and how to report concerns. This is incorporated into our induction process and ongoing compliance training.

Review

This statement is reviewed annually and updated as necessary. It has been approved by the Board of The UK Adviser Group Ltd.
